The INTEC Design group is currently looking for two new researchers. INTEC Design is specialized in the research and development of high-speed and high-frequency electronic circuits. The main applications focus on wired (fiber-optic, radio-over-fiber, copper), wireless (RF, 5G, mmWave) and instrumentation for which custom CMOS or SiGe BiCMOS chips or system demonstrators are conceived.
The first vacancy focuses on mixed-signal IC design in the context of 5G, while the second vacancy targets IC design for wired and fiber-optic applications. A short overview of our recent research and recent publications/PhDs can be found on our website: http://www.intec.ugent.be/design/
Due to the various research topics in the group and the continuous evolutions in our application fields, a broad view and a wide interest in the various aspects of nowadays electronics systems (such as analog, digital, mixed-signal, RF, signal integrity etc.) are very important to cope with the challenges of our quickly changing world. Typical research projects in the INTEC Design group involve multiple researchers with different specialties working as a team. Hence, a good team spirit, a good knowledge of English and effective communication skills (such as presenting and reporting) are of major importance for a successful collaboration. We offer you a challenging position in an advanced design and lab environment, a monthly salary or a PhD scholarship, and the possibility to follow various advanced training courses in Belgium or abroad. Work experience (academic or industrial) and publications are certainly a plus.
If you are interested, please feel free to contact Prof. Johan Bauwelinck (firstname.lastname@example.org) with your CV and motivation.
